Crypto-to-Cash Transfers Now Available for UK and Europe
Abstract:Crypto-to-Cash transfers are now available for UK and Europe users through the eToro platform, enabling them to transfer crypto-assets to their wallets and convert them into cash for trading and investment.

eToro, the global trading and investing platform, has introduced a new feature allowing users in the UK and Europe to transfer their Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH) holdings from external wallets or exchanges into their eToro Crypto Wallet, where they can convert them into cash. This move enables investors to seamlessly reinvest in stocks, ETFs, commodities, and other asset classes available on eToros multi-asset platform.
How It Works
Eligible users can transfer their BTC or ETH from other exchanges or wallets into their eToro Crypto Wallet. Once converted into GBP or EUR, the funds can be:
- Reinvested in any asset on eToros platform
- Withdrawn as cash
- Spent via an eToro debit card (for UK users)
The feature is being rolled out gradually, starting with Diamond Club members in the UK and Europe, with conversion fees ranging from 0.6% to 1%.
A Strategic ‘Off-Ramp’ for Crypto Investors
Doron Rosenblum, EVP of Business Solutions at eToro, highlighted the platforms role in helping investors diversify their portfolios:
“With many crypto assets reaching new all-time highs but also experiencing strong volatility, the launch of crypto-to-fiat conversions on eToro means investors can use us as an ‘off-ramp’ to harness their gains and diversify into other asset classes through our multi-asset platform.”

This feature arrives as eToro strengthens its regulatory standing, recently securing a CySEC authorization under the Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation (MiCA) framework. This approval allows eToro to offer crypto services across all EU member states, reinforcing its position as a trusted, regulated platform for digital asset investing.
eToros Growing Influence in Crypto
With over 38 million registered users worldwide, eToro has been a key player in crypto since introducing Bitcoin trading in 2013. Today, it supports 100+ cryptoassets, alongside stocks, ETFs, and thematic portfolios.
Additionally, eToro recently achieved SOC 2 Type II Compliance Certification, earning top marks for operational excellence in crypto custody—further boosting investor confidence.
Why This Matters
As crypto markets fluctuate, eToros new conversion feature provides a secure, regulated way for investors to:
- Lock in profits from crypto gains
- Diversify into traditional assets
- Access liquidity via fiat conversions
For UK and European traders, this update enhances eToros appeal as a one-stop platform for both crypto and traditional investing—all within a compliant, investor-protected framework.
