Wall Street Trader Launches Own Prop Trading Program with 80% Profit Sharing
Abstract:Gerchik & Co, an international brokerage firm led by experienced Wall Street trader Alexander Gerchik, has unveiled a new proprietary trading program that offers traders the opportunity to manage up to $100,000 in company funds.

Gerchik & Co, an international brokerage firm led by experienced Wall Street trader Alexander Gerchik, has unveiled a new proprietary trading program that offers traders the opportunity to manage up to $100,000 in company funds. This initiative is designed to enable participants to trade without putting their personal capital at risk, presenting an appealing option for those seeking to advance their trading careers.
The program allows traders to access capital ranging from $5,000 to $100,000, with the potential to retain 80% of the profits they generate. To qualify, traders must first complete a two-stage demo account challenge, which is designed to assess their risk management skills and ability to grow funds. Only those who successfully complete the challenge will be provided with real capital to trade.
The challenge requires participants to meet specific performance targets, which include growing demo account capital to a set amount while avoiding significant losses. The two-stage process must be completed within a one-year period, though participants are allowed to finish the challenge in as little as one week if they demonstrate strong performance. To enter the challenge, a fee of $69 is required, and traders are allowed to take up to three challenges at the same time.
One of the notable features of Gerchik & Cos program is its flexibility. Traders have unlimited attempts to complete the prop trader challenge. If they are unsuccessful on their first attempt, they can re-enter the program as many times as needed until they qualify. This structure provides a significant opportunity for traders to refine their strategies and improve their chances of success without risking their own money.

By offering such a program, Gerchik & Co provides a path for traders to gain experience and increase their potential earnings while retaining a substantial portion of the profits. The opportunity to manage large amounts of capital without personal financial exposure is particularly attractive in todays trading environment.
The rise of proprietary trading programs is part of a broader trend in the industry. Other brokers, including OANDA, Axi, and Hantec Markets, have also introduced similar initiatives, often through offshore regulated entities. OANDA, for example, launched its Prop Trader program in South Africa, allowing traders to become signal providers and earn up to 90% of their profits on a profit-sharing basis.
Despite the growing popularity of proprietary trading, it remains a challenging field. A recent poll by PipFarm, involving 459 respondents, indicated that while interest in prop trading is strong, only about 40% of participants achieve significant financial success in this highly competitive arena. Nonetheless, programs like Gerchik & Cos offer traders a viable path to advancing their careers without the risk of personal capital, making them an attractive option for many.
