New MT5 Platform Build Supports Google Authenticator 2FA/TOTP Authentication
Abstract:In this version, MetaQuotes added OpenCL error reporting and 2FA/TOTP authentication using Google Authenticator to MetaTrader 5 trading terminals.

On Friday, November 25, 2022, the MetaTrader 5 platform build 3520 will be launched. MetaQuotes has enabled OpenCL error reporting and integrated 2FA/TOTP authentication in MetaTrader 5 trading terminals using Google Authenticator in this upgrade.
Other adjustments and upgraded features increase the overall operating stability of the platform.
Even if a trading account's login and password are exposed, 2FA/TOTP authentication protects it from unwanted access. Various mobile applications may be used to provide authentication utilizing a Time-based One-time Password Algorithm (TOTP). Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, LastPass Authenticator, and Authy are the most popular.
You may now use one-time passwords produced by such Authenticator applications to access your account in the MetaTrader 5 client interface.
Connect to your account and choose the “Activate 2FA/TOPT” command from the account context menu to enable two-factor authentication. Launch the Authenticator app on your mobile device, tap “+” to add your trading account, and then scan the QR code from the terminal.

In the “One-time password” area, enter the generated code and click “Enable 2FA.” On the broker's trading server, a secret will be created for your account.
Every time you log in to your account, the stored secret will be utilized in the Authenticator app to create an OTP code. Every password is only valid for 30 seconds. Following that, a new one is produced.
If you elect to erase the stored secret from the Authenticator app, you must first deactivate 2FA/TOTP authentication through the account context menu command. Please contact your broker if the new 2FA/TOTP authentication mechanism is not accessible on your account.
MQL5: The CopyTicks function for bespoke trading instruments now works properly. Under some scenarios, while working with custom symbols, the previous session's initial ticks may be returned instead of the required data.
MQL5: New enumeration values added to get the most recent OpenCL error code and text explanation.
The value CL LAST ERROR (кoд 4094) has been added to the enumeration ENUM OPENCL PROPERTY INTEGER MQL5: The matrix's fixed operation is The MatMul technique. When dealing with huge matrices, the terminal may crash at times.
Errors in crash logs were fixed.
The update will be accessible through the Live Update mechanism.
