A Visit to Bendix FX in Canada – No Office Found
DangerCanada

Reason for this visit

The forex market is extremely distinctive in Canada because the country has its own financial authority, the Canadian Securities Administrators (CSA), which provides a unified management of all financial industries. Meanwhile, CSA set up its subsidiary body, the Investment Industry Regulatory Organization of Canada (IIROC), in 2008, which is primarily responsible for the regulation of the retail forex market. And the IIROC has independently built many low-level regulatory bodies supervising three regions and ten provinces respectively. All these institutions release multiple independent laws and regulations. The integration of unity and differentiation in regulation makes the Canadian forex market the most complex in the world. In order to help investors or practitioners to gain a more comprehensive understanding of forex brokers in Canada, WikiFX survey team decides to go to the country for on-site visits to local companies.

On-site visit

In this issue, the survey team went to Canada to visit forex broker Bendix FX as planned according to its regulatory address that 409 Granville Street, Suite 208, Vancouver, BC V6C 1T2 Canada.

A seasoned and professional inspection team, committed to safeguarding investor interests, conducted a meticulously planned on-site verification of the prominent forex broker Agility Forex at 409 Granville Street in Vancouver, Canada.

The target address is located in the bustling downtown business district of Vancouver, within the high-rise office building known as the “United Kingdom Building.” The structure features a modern exterior, with convenient transportation access and high pedestrian traffic in the surrounding streets, making it a quintessential commercial hub. The building's lobby is spacious and well-lit, designed with a blend of wooden and metallic elements, and equipped with both a digital directory screen and a traditional metal-framed floor directory—reflecting an overall upscale ambiance.

According to available information, Bendix FX is registered at “Suite 208.” The investigation team first verified the building's exterior signage, confirming the name and address matched. Upon entering the lobby, they inspected the alphabetical floor directory, focusing on the “B” section, but found no listing for “Bendix FX.” To cross-reference, the team checked the company's official website (https://bendixfx.com/), which provided no alternative names or affiliated entities.

The directory indicated that Suite 208 was assigned to “Smith Legal Search.” To rule out discrepancies, the investigators proceeded to the 2nd floor for an on-site inspection. While the 208 suite number was clearly displayed, the door nameplate identified the occupant as “Smith Legal Search.” Visible activity inside the office—staff and operations consistent with a law firm—further corroborated this. Inquiries with neighboring tenants confirmed no awareness of Bendix FX operating at the location.

Through the on-site investigation, it is confirmed that the broker does not have a physical presence at the location.

The survey team went to Canada to visit forex broker Bendix FX as scheduled, but did not find the company at the aforementioned address. It indicates that the broker does not have a physical business office or it just utilizes the address solely for registration purposes. Accordingly, investors are advised to make a sensible decision following much deliberation.
