As shown in the image, there are three XAUUSD trade orders: 1. A short position of 0.2 lots executed at $2457.12 with a take profit set at $2450.00 and a stop loss at $2459.00. 2. A long position of 0.5 lots executed at $2462.34 with a take profit set at $2468.00 and a stop loss at $2555.00. 3. A long position of 0.8 lots executed at $2464.90 with a take profit set at $2469.31 and a stop loss at $2555.00. On August 2, 2024, between 20:30:01 and 20:30:04 Beijing time, all the above orders were automatically closed as the XAUUSD price moved from around $2456.50 to approximately $2471.30. However, the closing prices for these orders significantly deviated from the pre-set stop loss and take profit levels: 1. The short order of 0.2 lots closed at $2469.45, resulting in a loss of $246.6, which is a deviation of $10.45 from the stop loss price, causing an additional loss of $209. 2. The long order of 0.5 lots closed at $2466.04, earning a profit of $185, which is a deviation of $1.96 from the take profit price, resulting in $98 less earned. 3. The long order of 0.8 lots closed at $2464.91, earning just $0.8, which is a deviation of $4.4 from the take profit price, resulting in $352 less earned. In total, this amounted to a loss of $659. When I contacted customer service to address this issue, they attributed it to significant market fluctuations and stated that positions were closed based on market quotes; they have not responded since then. Given such market volatility, the last tool for an individual trader to mitigate risk and protect profits is setting automatic stop losses and take profits for closing positions. If even these safeguards fail to function properly, who protects the interests of traders? What purpose does having a broker serve if they cannot ensure these mechanisms work as intended?
